First Day of First Grade

Last Fun Day

We spent our last day off together today before school starts at the water park in Texarkana. It was our first time there and it was the perfect time to go with a few clouds in the sky.

Ladybug cried when I tried to coax her out into the wave pool. Later on, she told me it was her favorite part of the day! Go figure. "You have to try new things because they might be fun" was our lesson of the day.

The rain finally did show up and Buggy was ready to go.

Weekend at the Lake

We spent the weekend in a cabin at an old favorite hangout Eliott Lake. Coco and I grew up camping, swimming and fishing out there. It's on the army depot base that Gdad retired from and was quite the chore to get us signed up to enjoy it! The cabins were cozy and nice...but very different from La Cabin at Lake Darbonne. We like both!

Ladybug had a blast and was quite the little fisherman.
