Take me out to the Ballgame

T had a wild hair Wednesday night and took Ladybug to a TWU basketball game. This girl sure loves her popcorn!  They were doing a "guess the number of basketballs in the bowl" and Buggy entered with her guess of twelve.  Everything is always twelve, so I was not surprised by her guess.

Imagine her delight when she found out later that she had won the big bowl of erasers!  That is really a big bowl of erasers and they keep finding their way strown out onto the living room floor.  Perhaps I will add them to her Valentine gifts for school.

Forever Family Celebration

We had our forever family "date" planned for tonight since I had to work all this past weekend.  Ladybug was not in the mood for a shirt with buttons, but T talked her into wearing it just for a few photos.  We enjoyed our annual dinner at PF Changs complete with chopsticks.  I have to say that Buggy does so good in restaurants, I'm very proud of her sweet manners.  She will order her drink and dinner all by herself too.  Tonight, she wanted dessert, so I told her she'd have to ask our waiter for it.  She would attempt to get his attention and then she'd say, "He didn't hear me."  He finally did hear her and they were on a first name basis by the time her chocolate dessert arrived!

We gave Ladybug another one of her little gifts that we brought back from China.  To remind you, while we were in China, we purchased 18 gifts so that we would be able to give her something every year on our Gotcha Day.  This year it was a wooden puzzle of China that even shows Hubei on it.

We are very blessed and forever thankful for this sweet girl.

Gearing Up

T thought it would be a great idea to enroll Buggy into a soccer team this spring.  There's a league forming very close to our house and it looks very organized...and exciting.  We signed her up and then T took Bug shopping for cleats and shinguards.  Doesn't she look super happy to have a bag full of new gear?

When I got home from work last night, she was wearing the cleats, shorts, and shinguards...and didn't want to take them off.  Ha.  By the way, specialty shoes for her tiny feet...super hard to find.  But they do exist.

I'm looking forward to this spring when she begins practice and then has a game.  It's going to be fun, fun, fun!

Our Wednesday

I know we've been scarce since the new year, lots of stuff going on and haven't taken the time to sit at the computer.  I honestly think today is the first day I've even lugged my camera around to take some pictures.  She was in the mood, probably because it was a gorgeous, warm day outside, so we took lots of pictures and have some fun planned for Valentine's Day coming up.

We both had the flu last week, it managed to escape T because he had gotten a flu shot earlier in the winter.  (That's what he says.)  I've also not felt well the beginning of this year, same old ear issues with vertigo and now drop attacks.  So, lots of doctor visits last week after the flu and trying some new things to feel better.  I also wasn't allowed to drive for a whole week and now that I am driving, I still haven't driven with Ladybug in the car with me.  Hoping that changes soon.  I've been living with Meniere's Disease now for 2 years and I've mentioned before that I would blog about it...I will do that one of these days.

At this time three years ago we were in China waiting to see that pretty girl's face for the first time.  It's so hard to believe that it's been three years since Buggy joined our little family.  This sweet girl is growing up...and I hope that sweetness stays with her as she continues to grow.

More soon, I promise,
Deana

Monkey Business

We are in Temple this weekend having Christmas and I forgot the camera.  Oops.

It's been a busy day and Ladybug needed a little nap this afternoon.   We came back to our hotel to find monkey had been well cared for while we were away.  Too cute!  Buggy noticed he had chocolates in his lap too!

Flu Bug

Two thirds of us have tested positive for the flu.  T's going to see the doc tomorrow, so it's possible we could have a full house of Flu Bugs.

This Buggy refused to put on clothes to go to the doctor, so she's in her pajamas.  At least she's wearing shoes.  :)

The Hill

T sent me a few videos while I was at work today and it looks like he was having a great day with Ladybug.  Check it out:
