Getting in a little practice time...

We're getting ready to take our fall vacation this week.  We have a big cabin booked at Lake D'Arbonne and we can't wait!  Lots of lists and planning going on these last couple of days before we leave.

Oh and lots of practice fishing for Ladybug too. Hope she'll be ready for the real thing!

Grownups Come Back

Ladybug has been watching a new show called Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.  It's a cartoon version of the old Mr Roger's Neighborhood.  Yesterday when I came home from work, she ran to meet me with a great big hug.  Then she stepped back with arms open wide and performed her "Grownups come Back" song.  Of course, I missed capturing the theatrical version but here's a little replay.

It's Daddy-Daughter day with pancakes for breakfast!  I'm sure those two will have other adventures planned today too.

Digital Scrapbooking

I recently upgraded my Stampin'Up! digital software called My Digital Studio.  I've always enjoyed using a graphics program to make flyers and labels but have never really dabbled with any digital scrapbooking until now.  Let's just say...that I wish I had done it sooner!  I received in the mail today five 12x12 scrapbook pages that I had printed through Stampin'Up! and they are amazing.

I'm sure it's more enjoyable because it is on my new Macbook but it is also much less mess and no clean up.  Here's one of the pages that I just made, it's my favorite:

Happy, Happy

The weather was soooo nice this morning, I probably should have given Ladybug a jacket to wear to school.  Then I remembered how hot natured she is and decided that she'd be just fine.  The shirt has a button in the back but she doesn't know that yet.  I snuck her into it without her noticing.  She's very anti-button when it comes to shirts.

Auntie Coco gave her this cute little shoes as happy!  They are happy shoes!  She jumped up and down when I told her she could wear them today.  I snapped a quick photo asking her to show me her shoes and then she demanded that I take one of the left shoe too!

Now we're off to school.  Enjoy your day!

What She Wore

The girls were over last night for card making and that caused Buggy to stay up way too late since T was out of town.  I could tell she was pretty sleepy this morning when I got her up to get ready for school.  We had oatmeal for breakfast and then went to negotiate over what to wear.  Today, I won the clothes competition and she won the tennis shoe battle.  Here she is playing with her letters while I fix her lunch.

The best thing that I invested in this school year was this awesome little divided lunch box.  It came with a lid and stickers to personalize.  It's eliminated all those little baggies which helps me make her lunch even faster!  Today's lunch was a peanut butter sandwich, banana chips, apple slices, yogurt pretzels and apple juice.  Yum, I wish this was my lunch today!

Ladybug Love

Here's a cute card that I made for the Fab Friday Challenge.  You know how much I love ladybugs and I just had to get this awesome stamp set from Stampin'Up!

We'll probably make this in our next card class.  Speaking of which, we're meeting tomorrow night at 7:00 if you'd like to join us!

Finally the Weekend

We enjoyed a rare weekend off and took Ladybug on a little adventure to Gatti Town for lunch and games.  She was pretty apprehensive at first, but once we coaxed her into trying out one game she was ready for the next.  In fact, when it was time to go...she didn't want to leave!

First Day of School

It started out really well, she even walked all the way into the classroom by herself.  (Surprising to me, this little ladybug always wants to be carried.)

When we got in, it all went downhill from there.  While she was playing with the other friends, I almost snuck out.  But I just couldn't do it without saying goodbye.  That's what set her off, the fact that I was leaving her there.  I gave her love and hugs and handed her to the teacher's aid and walked out.  Tears also streaming down my face.

Although, I know this is temporary....it was still a difficult day.
