At 3 Years Old

* Ladybug has finally learned to drop the "no way" and calmly say "help please" when something isn't going the way she'd like. Today I heard "help please...help please...help please" continuously until I went over to help with a puzzle she was working on.

* She has picked up a different bad habit of saying "Nu uh" and we are not sure where she has learned it. We really don't like hearing it so we are working on the no thank you when we hear that now.

* She currently doesn't like bubbles in the bath, but she does love to pick out a fun color to tint the water.

* I love how when I ask her a question she can now come up with an answer other than a no or yes. The other day I asked her how the pancakes were and she replied, "They are hot."

* Buggy is very opinionated about what she wants to wear both to sleep in and for play wear. Sometimes it's easier to just go with the flow on this one.

* She's learning to play and enjoy board games and puzzles. In fact, I had to hide the Candyland game...when she would walk by and see it I'd watch her hand slide across the cover as she longingly eyeballed it. I had such mommy guilt when I would see that happen.

* There was an error in her weight the last time she went to the doctor. They had recorded her as 31 pounds and I knew that wasn't right so I recorded last month's weight as 29 pounds. Her current weight is actually 27.5 pounds and 35.75 inches tall. She's also in a size 6 shoe and 3T clothing.

Special Day

Happy Birthday sweet Ladybug!

After enjoying the special strawberry oatmeal with whipped cream for breakfast, we are going to get ready for a party!

This is from yesterday while we are having our usual breakfast oatmeal routine. By the way, we should buy stock in oatmeal, this girl always wants oatmeal for snack and dinner too.

Note that it's now just 4 days until the birthday party.

And this picture is from today while Buggy is baking cookies with Nanny. She came home from school yesterday looking like she face planted into the ground.

From what I understand, that's exactly what happened when another child fell on top of her!

I overheard this little conversation after Ladybug's toenails had just gotten painted and she was slipping on Coco's shoes:

Coco: Baby, your toenails are wet...you'll ruin Coco's shoes.

Ladybug: That's ok Coco, you can buy some more.

Happy Valentine's Day

I was excited for Buggy this morning while getting ready for "school." She loved the balloon daddy left out for her and we both took a little bite of her chocolates after breakfast.

I know she will have a fun filled day and come home later with some Valentine loot!

That's exactly what she said after we blew up a few sparklers tonight in the freezing cold.

"That was fun."

Early Birthday Gift

Hopefully, we don't have anyone popping over tonight or tomorrow because we have a slide in the house! Let me just say, besides the fact that it won't be IN the house for long, that it's a real winner with Ladybug!

She saw it when she woke up from nap and I'm pretty sure she's worn herself out...she hasn't stopped going up the ladder and down the slide....over and over again.

I love seeing her so excited!
