We really wanted to take a family vacation this year and I was very much pushing for Disney World. T was against it because Bug is too young. My argument was that this Disney vacation would be for ME not Bug! Yes, I'm 40 years old and have never been to Disney. (But according to Facebook, I'm actually not alone.)
After looking at the map, we determined that we've been everywhere within a one day's driving distance so it was time to go for a 2 day trip. I've always wanted to see the Mall of America in Minneapolis and we both decided that somewhere cooler would also be a nice change.
Here we are taking a quick break at the Iowa border! We reached this endless-cornfield-state before ending our first day of driving and found a hotel in Osceola, Iowa.
Bug is an awesome traveler! She never even whimpered about being in the car for so long.

Funny. We just got back from a 2 day road trip (spending 7 days away) to North Carolina. While listening to XM Radio's comedy channel someone was kidding about people taking full holiday's to the Mall of America for their vacations. (It has crossed my mind, too.) And here it is in my Google Reader that you went there. Looks like you have a had a wonderful time with Bug.
